Recess is designed to provide parents with true peace of mind. The first floor primary play area is professionally supervised, secured by staff-controlled gates and integrated with wristbands that track individual children in real time. The second floor is where our bistro are located, which overlook the play areas. By meeting families where they are, parents have an opportunity to relax or work knowing their children are playing safely.
No. Recess is not a child-care facility or a day-care center and is not licensed by the State of Texas as such. Parents or guardians responsible for children must remain on the premises and be reachable by recess staff at all times. Daily and weekly time limits for recess-supervised play areas will be enforced.
There are two play areas within recess which will be designated as parent-supervised or recess-supervised. Age-appropriate, potty-trained children are eligible to play inside the recess-supervised area — think kids club at a gym. The parent-supervised area will be available for younger children who are not potty-trained — think play café.
Yes, we would love to host your event! In addition to three versatile party rooms on the first floor, recess will be available for private events ranging from community gatherings to full buyouts.
No, recess is a screen-free environment. Our playspaces are designed for active, imaginative, and social play. You won’t find arcade games, consoles, tablets, or other screen-based play at recess.
