Important: Recess is not, and does not hold itself out to be, a licensed child-care facility. Recess operates as a family-oriented play, dining, and recreation venue. Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times while on the premises.

Intelliplay Wristbands. Recess utilizes Intelliplay, Inc.’s wristband technology (“Intellibands”) to enhance child safety at our facility. When your child is checked in, they are assigned a wristband that tracks their real-time location within the facility. This technology is used solely for the following purposes:
Wristband tracking data is not used for targeted advertising or sold to third parties. You may receive text and/or email notifications from Intelliplay on behalf of Recess regarding your purchase and usage of their products. You may opt out of these notifications at any time. Security Cameras. Recess maintains security camera systems throughout the facility for the safety and security of our guests and staff. Security camera footage is used solely for safety, security, loss prevention, and incident investigation purposes. Footage is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes and is not used for marketing or shared with third parties except as required by law or in connection with a legitimate safety or legal matter.
Recess is a family entertainment venue that serves children. We take the privacy of children seriously and are committed to complying with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) and the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (“TDPSA”) with respect to children’s personal information.
Parental Consent. We collect personal information about children under 13 only with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian. Consent is obtained through our waiver and enrollment process, which requires a parent or legal guardian’s electronic signature before a child may participate in activities at Recess.
Limited Collection. We collect only the information about children that is reasonably necessary to provide our Services safely, including the child’s name, date of birth, age, and any disclosed medical conditions or allergies. We do not condition a child’s participation on the collection of more information than is reasonably necessary.

The collection and use of photographs and video for these purposes is governed by our separate Media Waiver and Release (signed at or before the time of visit) and the photo/media provisions of our Membership Agreement (for members). By signing those documents, you consent to the use of your and your child’s likeness in accordance with the terms set forth therein.
